Inside a Medicina Sufletului Session: What Really Happens
Curious what actually happens in a Medicina Sufletului session? Here's an honest, practitioner-level look at the method, the tools, and what healing at the subconscious level really feels like.

When Words Alone Can't Reach the Pain
If you're looking for guidance on Medicina Sufletului, you're in the right place.
You've talked about it. Maybe for years. Sat across from therapists, journaled, read every book, done the work. And something still sits heavy in your chest. Still pulls you back into the same patterns, the same relationships, the same quiet exhaustion.
You know better. So why won't it shift?
Here's the thing: some pain doesn't live where words can reach it. It lives below the surface, stored in the body, in the subconscious, in patterns inherited from people who came before you. Talk therapy is genuinely valuable. But it works primarily at the level of thought and story. And some wounds are older and quieter than that.
Medicina Sufletului was built specifically to reach that deeper layer. Because I get a lot of questions about what it actually involves, I want to give you a real, practitioner-level answer. Not a pitch. Just an honest explanation of what happens and why it works the way it does.
What Medicina Sufletului Actually Is
Medicina Sufletului translates from Romanian as "Medicine of the Soul." It's a therapeutic approach that uses high-vibration prayer and spoken word to address the mind, body, and spirit as one interconnected system. The method was created by Titiana Popa, a Romanian spiritual healer and teacher who spent decades studying the relationship between energetic imbalance and human suffering.
Titiana Popa built this method on a clear premise: most of what ails us, whether emotional, physical, or relational, has its root in the subconscious and energetic body. Healing those roots requires tools that operate at that same level. High-vibration prayer is one of those tools. Not because of religious obligation, but because of the measurable effect that intention and specific frequencies of sound and word have on the human energy field.
I'm one of only eight certified practitioners of this method worldwide, trained directly by Titiana Popa. That number isn't a marketing claim, it reflects how carefully she guards the integrity of the work. You can read more about my training and path on my about page.
And what this method is not is just as worth saying. It's not a rigid protocol applied the same way to every person. It's not a replacement for medical care, psychological support, or medication. It's not tied to any specific religion or belief system. It's a complementary path, one that works alongside whatever other support you already have, reaching the layer that other approaches don't always touch.
The Subconscious as a Living Database
Think of your subconscious like the operating system running quietly in the background of your phone. You don't see it. You're not managing it. But it's determining what opens, what crashes, and what runs on a loop, whether you want it to or not.
From the moment you were conceived, this system began collecting data: sensory impressions, emotional experiences, survival responses, relational patterns. Most of it was recorded before you had language, before you had any way to consciously process what was happening.
Then there's what you inherited. Research in epigenetics has shown that trauma leaves biological markers that can be passed down through generations, essentially programming descendants to respond to the world through the emotional lens of their ancestors. (If you want to go deeper on the science, I've written about it in this post on epigenetics and ancestral trauma.)
So your system arrives pre-loaded with entries you never personally wrote. Fear responses. Scarcity beliefs. Patterns of abandonment, control, self-sacrifice. They don't announce themselves. They just run quietly in the background, shaping your choices, your reactions, your sense of what's even possible for you.
This is why you can intellectually know you're worthy of love and still keep choosing unavailable partners. Or know you're capable and still freeze before every opportunity.
The conscious mind believes one thing. The subconscious is running a completely different program.
These stored patterns often show up as what practitioners call energetic blockages. Think of it like a kink in a garden hose, the water's still there, it just can't flow properly, and that's when you start feeling it in your body, your emotions, your relationships. I've written more about how these blockages form in this post on why you feel stuck and how to release it.
Inside a Session: What You Can Expect
Every session begins with a conversation. I want to understand what brought you here, what you're carrying, what keeps showing up. But I'm also listening for what isn't being said, the patterns underneath the words, the emotional tone living between the sentences.
Then we move into the energetic work.
The core tool is high-vibration prayer. These aren't generic blessings or scripted incantations. They're specific, intentional sequences of words directed at particular aspects of the subconscious and energetic body, designed to cleanse, unblock, and reset. Think of it less like a religious ritual and more like a precise frequency applied to a precise frequency problem. The prayer meets the blockage where it actually lives.
I also work with a magnet along the Governing Vessel meridian, the central energetic channel that runs along the spine. In traditional Chinese medicine, the Governing Vessel is considered the body's primary energetic reservoir, the channel that governs the yang energy of the entire system. When it's blocked or depleted, everything downstream is affected: your nervous system, your emotional regulation, your immune resilience. The magnet helps reset and reactivate this channel, supporting the energetic work happening at the subconscious level.
Sessions happen online, via Zoom. That surprises some people. But energy work doesn't require physical proximity; the connection is informational and intentional, not spatial. Many of my clients feel the work clearly even through a screen.
The emotional texture of a session is usually gentle. Not because we're avoiding anything, but because this method meets trauma with compassion rather than force. You won't be pushed to relive painful memories or perform emotional catharsis. What often happens instead is a quiet settling, like something that was held very tight has finally been allowed to loosen. Some people feel warmth or tingling. Some feel emotional without knowing exactly why. Some feel nothing during the session and then notice real shifts in the days that follow.
Every session is different, because every person is different. There's no standard script, no fixed sequence. The session shapes itself around what I see and sense in you specifically.
What Medicina Sufletului Can Help With
People come to me for many different reasons. Anxiety that medication manages but doesn't resolve. Grief that's gone on longer than feels normal. A recurring pattern in relationships or work they can't seem to break. Physical tension or chronic symptoms with no clear medical cause. A general sense of being stuck, disconnected, or not quite themselves.
Others come because they've done a lot of personal development work and hit a ceiling. They've grown intellectually, but something at a deeper level hasn't moved. That's often exactly where Medicina Sufletului becomes relevant.
Honestly, what I see most often is people carrying things they didn't consciously choose to carry. Ancestral grief. Inherited fear. Wounds from early childhood that got buried because there was no safe place for them at the time. (I think about this a lot, how much of what we call "our" pain isn't even originally ours.)
When a blockage releases, the shift can be subtle or it can be striking. A client once described it as feeling like a window had been opened in a room that had been sealed for years. Not dramatic. Just, suddenly, there was air.
To be clear about scope: this work operates on the energetic and subconscious level. It complements medical and psychological care; it doesn't replace it. If you're managing a serious health condition or working with a therapist, that continues alongside this work, not instead of it.

The Role of Faith, and What It Means Here
The word "faith" shows up in how I talk about this work, and I know it can land differently depending on who you are. For some people it's familiar and comforting. For others it raises questions, or walls.
So let me be direct. In the context of Medicina Sufletului, faith isn't religious affiliation. It's not a requirement to believe in any particular doctrine or deity. What it means, practically, is openness. A willingness to allow something to shift, even if you don't fully understand the mechanism.
Prayer functions here as a high-vibration tool. There's growing research on the physiological effects of prayer and intention on the human nervous system, on water molecules, cell cultures, even plant growth. The mechanism isn't fully mapped by conventional science yet, but the effects are documented. In this method, prayer is used precisely because of its capacity to operate at a frequency that reaches the subconscious and energetic body in a way ordinary language simply doesn't.
I work with people of many different spiritual backgrounds, including people who consider themselves non-religious or skeptical. The method meets you where you are.
You don't need to believe in it for it to work. You just need to be open to the possibility that something can change.
Honest, curious skepticism is actually a fine starting point. What tends not to work is a fully closed, resistant stance, not because the energy can't reach you, but because resistance is itself a kind of blockage. (It's a bit like trying to water a plant through a closed fist.)
Your First Step Toward a Session
If you've read this far, something in you is probably considering it. And you might not know exactly what to say when you reach out.
That's completely normal.
Most people don't arrive with a tidy list of what needs healing. They arrive with a feeling: something is off, something is heavy, something keeps happening that they can't explain. That's enough. You don't need to have it figured out before we talk.
When you book a session, we start with that conversation. You tell me what you can; I listen for what I can sense. From there, the session takes shape around you specifically. No preparation required, no belief system to adopt beforehand.
But if you have questions before committing, the FAQ page covers the most common ones: how sessions work online, how long they take, what to expect afterward. And if you're ready to book or just want to ask something directly, you can reach me through the contact page or go straight to the services page to see what's available.
