Energy Blockages: Why You Feel Stuck and How to Release Them
That chronic exhaustion, the relationship patterns that keep repeating, the sense that something is off, these aren't random. They're energy blockages, and they have a source. Here's what that means and what you can do about it.

That Stuck Feeling Has a Name
If you're looking for guidance on Medicina Sufletului, you're in the right place.
You sleep enough. You eat reasonably well. You show up for the people you love. And still, something's off. There's a heaviness you can't quite name, a sense of running on empty no matter how much you rest. You've probably chalked it up to stress, or decided this is just what adult life feels like.
It's not.
What you might be experiencing are energy blockages, disruptions in the body's natural life force, known in different traditions as chi, prana, or simply vital energy. Think of it like a river. When the water flows freely, everything downstream stays nourished and alive. When something dams the flow, things downstream start to wither, slowly at first, then more noticeably. That withering? That's what you're feeling.
These blockages form when experiences, emotions, or stress don't get fully processed. The body holds what the mind hasn't had space to work through. And over time, that stored material starts showing up in ways that feel very physical, very real, and honestly, very frustrating.
This isn't about blame. You didn't do anything wrong by accumulating these patterns. Most of us were never taught how to process difficult experiences, we were taught to push through them. So that's what we did. But understanding where the stuck feeling comes from is the first step toward something different.
Where Energy Blockages Actually Come From
Here's something I notice with almost every client: they expect their blockages to trace back to one big, dramatic event. Sometimes that's true. But more often, it's a slow accumulation of smaller things that never fully resolved.
The four most common sources I work with are unprocessed trauma, chronic stress, inherited ancestral patterns, and absorbed energy from others.
Unprocessed trauma doesn't have to mean something catastrophic. It can be the childhood experience of being told your feelings were too much, or growing up in a home where love felt conditional. Those early experiences shape how you move through the world, often without you realizing it. The nervous system remembers what the conscious mind has long since filed away.
Chronic stress works differently. It's the daily grind of overcommitting, swallowing frustration at work, saying yes when you mean no. Each instance seems small. But they stack. And eventually, the body starts carrying the weight of all that suppressed energy. (I think of it like a backpack you forgot you were wearing, until one day your back gives out.)
Ancestral patterns are the ones that surprise people most. A scarcity mindset that was never yours to begin with. A fear of authority that feels bone-deep but doesn't match your actual life experiences. These are inherited emotional signatures, passed down through family systems, sometimes across generations. They can feel so familiar that you've mistaken them for personality.
And then there's absorbed energy. If you're a naturally empathic person, you've likely picked up emotional residue from the people around you without knowing it. That low mood after a difficult conversation. The anxiety that surfaces when you spend time with a particular person. So often, it's not even yours.
Medicina Sufletului works with all of these layers, not just the surface symptoms. That's what sets it apart from approaches that only address how you're feeling right now.
How Blockages Show Up in Your Body
The body keeps score. That phrase has become well-known because it's true. What the mind hasn't processed, the body stores, and eventually, the body starts sending signals.
Chronic tension in the neck and shoulders is one of the most common things I see. It often connects to carrying responsibility that isn't fully yours, or to holding back things you've wanted to say for a long time. That knot between your shoulder blades isn't just about posture.
Digestive issues are another big one. The gut has its own nervous system, sometimes called the second brain, and it responds to emotional stress in very direct ways. Think of it like a stress barometer built right into your belly. Recurring stomach discomfort before difficult conversations, or ongoing digestive sensitivity with no clear medical cause, can be the body's way of flagging something that needs attention.
Fatigue that doesn't respond to rest is perhaps the most disorienting symptom. You sleep eight hours and wake up tired. You take a holiday and come back feeling no different. That kind of exhaustion often has an emotional root, not just a physical one.
Other patterns worth paying attention to: recurring headaches, weakened immunity (getting sick every time life gets stressful), blood pressure that doesn't fully respond to lifestyle changes, and lower back pain that comes and goes without a structural explanation.
None of this is meant to replace medical evaluation. If you're experiencing physical symptoms, please see a doctor. But if you've already done that and the answers feel incomplete, it's worth considering what else might be at play.
The Mental and Emotional Toll You Might Be Normalizing
Emotional symptoms are easy to mistake for personality. When you've lived with anxiety for fifteen years, it starts to feel like just who you are. The mental fog, the negative self-talk, the way you brace for rejection even when there's no real threat, these stop feeling like symptoms and start feeling like facts.
But they're not facts. They're patterns. And patterns have a source.
Energy blockages distort perception in very specific ways. A blocked solar plexus (more on that shortly) can make you feel chronically unsure of yourself, even when the evidence of your life says otherwise. A blocked heart space can make receiving love feel uncomfortable, almost suspicious. You might not even notice you're doing it. (And honestly, most people don't, until something finally shifts and they look back in disbelief.)
There's also a feedback loop at work. The blockage creates a distorted perception. That distorted perception generates more stress and more suppressed emotion. Which deepens the blockage. Which distorts perception further. It's a cycle, and it's one of the reasons people can feel genuinely stuck even when they're actively trying to change.
Low self-esteem, fear of rejection, disconnection from your own intuition, a sense of going through the motions without really feeling alive, these are all worth taking seriously. Not as character flaws. As signals.
I'd gently ask you this: are there emotional states you've accepted as permanent that might actually be ready to shift? Sometimes the most important realization is simply that something doesn't have to stay the way it's always been.
What Healing Looks Like With Medicina Sufletului
Medicina Sufletului is a soul healing method developed by Tatiana Popa. It works with energy blockages at their root, not by managing how they feel, but by identifying where they originated and releasing the stored charge that's been keeping them in place.
In practical terms, a session involves identifying the specific source of a blockage, whether that's a childhood experience, an ancestral pattern, or accumulated emotional stress, and then working energetically to release it. Think of it like finally finding the kink in a garden hose and gently smoothing it out. The water was always there. It just couldn't flow. The process restores that natural flow through the body's systems, and clients often describe feeling lighter afterward, sometimes significantly so, even if they can't fully express what shifted.
I trained directly with Titiana Popa and the eighth certified Medicina Sufletului practitioner in Romania and abroad. More about my background you can find on my about page.
Sessions are done online via Zoom, which means you can access this energy healing work from wherever you are. Distance doesn't affect the process.
If what you've read here resonates and you're curious whether this kind of work might help you, take a look at the available healing sessions. There's no pressure. But if something in you is ready, that matters.
Small Signs Your Energy Is Starting to Flow Again
Healing isn't linear. I want to be honest about that. There isn't a single moment where everything clicks into place and stays there. But there are signs, often quiet ones, that something is shifting.
Clients frequently notice first either better sleep, more energy, or a mental shift, a better mood.
Then, a kind of mental clarity they'd forgotten was possible. Emotions that used to feel overwhelming become more manageable, not because they're being suppressed, but because there's more space around them. Relationships often shift too, sometimes because the client changes how they show up, and sometimes because the active itself softens in ways that are hard to explain but easy to feel.
A renewed sense of direction is another common one. People describe knowing what they want again, or feeling reconnected to something they'd quietly set aside years ago.
And here's what I want you to hear: the fact that you're reading this and recognizing yourself in it is already something. Noticing the blockage is the beginning of releasing it. In my experience as an Andreea Sas practitioner working with Medicina Sufletului, the people who find their way to this work rarely arrive by accident; something in them was already ready, even before they had the words for it.
If you want to understand the method more before taking any next step, the Medicina Sufletului page explains it in more depth, and the FAQ page covers the questions most people have before their first session. You can also reach out directly if you'd rather just talk.
Whatever brought you here today, I'm glad you're here.
